Our Program Spotlight for this month is Network Engineers and Specialists Program at the Defense Health Agency. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. With in the DHA, The NE&S works to sustain the DHA’s LAN/WAN environment.This program is located onsight of over a hundred medical treatment facilities throughout the world.As a network engineer you will ensure that the network devices are stable and operational so the medical staff can perform their mission
Tango Alpha 3 has worked with the DHA since 2019. Here is our insight to determine if you are a candidate for this program.
The required experience for this position varies on the type of educational background you have. If your educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and you have at least three years of work experience. A program certificate of completion or Department of Defense technical training requires eight years of experience to qualify.
You are able to configure network routing devices with training as a Cisco Certified Network Engineer or with military training such as Rutergers or Juniper. An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the DOD network environment making veterans ideal for this role. This program is a great stepping stone to senior position as NE&S promotes from within.
